Yokohama Ramen Museum

5/15/16

Dina and I had to visit the Ramen Museum in Yokohama last night. We rode the Shinkansen for 18 minutes and walked for 10.

Getting ready to board
Dina had to use the JR wheelchair to get to the train since they don't allow you to drive a motorized vehicle through the Shinkansen station.   The Ramen Museum was a lot of fun and had the best ramen we ever ate.  There is a huge assortment of little restaurants to choose from in the museum and they all have a little machine near the front door where you pay and make your selection.

The machine issues a ticket which you give to the waitress. So; go  inside and review the menu in English, go outside and pay and select from the Japanese menu, go back inside and give the waitress your ticket from the machine, sit down and eat.

Very efficient.                                                                                                                                             The museum has lots of old timey stuff to look at such as old Coke machines and phone booths.
There are three floors with the entrance and gift  shop on the ground level and the museum on the 2 basement levels.  We were pretty trashed by the time we left Yokohama. We had a long, fun filled day and evening. Sleeping in tomorrow!
